Lady Bears defeat Cloverport in regular-season finale

CLOVERPORT - Claiming its third straight win, visiting Butler County upended Cloverport 60-51 in a girls' high school basketball regular-season finale on Thursday night.
With the win, Butler County improved to 13-16.
Cloverport dropped to 9-19 with the loss.
Butler County shot 36.6 percent (26-of-71) from the field. The Lady Bears were 2-of-15 from 3-point range.
Butler County shot 66.7 percent (6-of-9) from the free throw line. 
Jaelyn Taylor paced Butler County offensively, scoring 19 points for the Lady Bears. Taylor was 7-of-11 from inside the arc.
Following Taylor in scoring for Butler County and recording a double-double, Taylin Clark added 15 points and a game-high 17 rebounds.
Joining Taylor and Clark in double figures for the Lady Bears, Gracie Cardwell netted 13 points.
Rounding out Butler County's individual scoring, Jenna Phelps and Graci Leach chipped in eight points and five points, respectively. 
Cloverport shot 33.3 percent (16-of-48) from the field. The Lady Aces were 4-of-13 (30.8 percent) from 3-point range.
Cloverport shot 83.3 percent (15-of-18) from the free throw line. 
Lindsey Thurman led Cloverport with a game-high 20 points. Joining Thurman in double figures in scoring for the Lady Aces, Olivia Weatherholt netted 12 points.
Narrowly missing double figures in scoring for Cloverport, Lily Nottingham netted nine points.
Weatherholt and Nottingham paced Cloverport inside, pulling down nine rebounds apiece. 
Butler County is set to face Grayson County in the semifinals of the 12th District Girls' Basketball Tournament at 7:45 p.m. in Leitchfield on Monday night
