Lady Bears (4-2) prepare for Edmonson

Butler County Lady Bears traveled to the swamp to face off with the Lady Gators of Greenwood High School on Monday night. The Lady Gators came in 3-3 while Coach Christy Clark’s Lady Bears were on a four game winning streak.

Greenwood jumped out to a quick lead outscoring Butler County 16-8 in the first quarter. Butler County connected on 10 of 27 shots the first half but was down by 12 points at half. Greenwoods’ Taylor Tolbert scored 14 points all in the first half of the game.

The Lady Bears came out hot in the third quarter outscoring Greenwood 16-10 closing the gap. However, it was not enough to pull out the win. Greenwood held on led by Maupin’s 26 points to take the win 69-57.
