Lady Bears 4-1

The Butler County Lady Bears are now 4-1 on the season.  After losing their season opener at Hancock County, Butler County has defeated Russellville, Grayson County, Warren East, and on Friday night they picked up their second district win against Whitesville Trinity 52-20.

The Lady Bears were in control from the tip off outscoring the Lady Raiders 16-5 in the first quarter.  Eighth grader Chloe Flener was the top scorer of the night.  She finished with 14 points, was 7 0f 9 from the court, had 1 assist, and had 5 rebounds.

“The girls are working hard and I expect them to continue to improve," said Coach Christy Clark.
Every player on the Lady Bear roster saw action in the game, which will pay off for the team during the season.   Butler County shot 21 of 65 from the court, 2 of 15 from the three-point range, and 8 of 14 from the free throw line.

Madeline Drake
Senior Madeline Drake had 10 points and 6 rebounds with limited playing time.  The Lady Bears will be in action Monday night as they travel to Greenwood High School to take on the Lady Gators.

I'm hoping these 8th grade girls will continue to play together thru high school. Should make for some awesome BCHS Lady Bears teams.
