Auburn, KY (February 15, 2018)- On Thursday morning at 9:45 hours, the Auburn Police Department contacted Kentucky State Police Post 3, Bowling Green, requesting assistance with a bank robbery, which had occurred at The Auburn Bank and Trust Banking Company located at 218 West Main Street in Auburn.  Troopers and Detectives with Post 3 responded and met with other local officers and bank employees.

 Preliminary investigation has revealed that an unknown suspect entered into the bank utilizing a public entrance, demanding money from bank tellers from a cash drawer.  The suspect then exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of currency, on foot, headed westbound on West Main Street.  The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build, and was wearing black clothing, a ski mask, and gloves.

 The Kentucky State Police is requesting assistance in identifying the man in the attached picture.  If you have any information regarding this case or know the identity of the unknown male and/or his whereabouts, please contact Kentucky State Police at (270) 782-2010.  The case is being led by Detectives with Post 3 and is ongoing.  No further information is available for release at this time.
