Knitters and Crocheters

The Knitters and Crocheters of Butler County made and donated over 45 items to the VFW Women’s Auxiliary for the newborn babies of military families at Fort Campbell.  The items included handmade, knit and crocheted, sweaters, booties, hats, bibs and mitts. The knitters and crocheters are Christine Bratcher, Kathy Vernon, Addie Mae Childers, Maurleen Jasmine, Beverly Hayes, Sibyl Shelton, Connie J. Embry, Georgia Romans, Kay Druzak, Nancy Burden, Doris McPherson, Mary Alice Black, Betty Phelps and Brenda Jenkins. The Knitters and Crocheters meet every Monday at 11 am at the Butler County Library. Instruction or help is available for nearly every kind of needlework, and a few other crafts too.
