Bowling Green, KY. (May 21, 2021) – Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green was requested by the Warren County Sheriff's Office to investigate a fatal collision that occurred just before 7:00 P.M. today.  Troopers responded to the collision scene on Morgantown Road near the intersection of Midcrest Drive in Warren County.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2021 Honda Accord being operated by 19 year-old Paul Dunia of Bowing Green turned southbound on Morgantown Road from Midcrest Drive. Dunia turned in front of a Suzuki motorcycle that was being operated by 60 year-old Bobby Austin Jr. who was traveling southbound on Morgantown Road.  The Suzuki was unable to stop and struck the rear of Dunia's Accord.  The collision caused Austin to be ejected from the motorcycle and into the roadway.  A 2000 Ford Taurus, being operated by 51 year old Robert Jones of Rochester, was traveling northbound and was unable to avoid striking Austin.  Bobby Austin Jr. was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Warren County Assistant Coroner.

The investigation is being led by Trooper Michael Wathen.  He was assisted on the scene by KSP personnel, Warren County Coroner's Office, Warren County Sheriff's Office, Medical Center EMS, and Barren River Fire Department.
