CUB RUN, Ky.(May 30, 2026)– At approximately 12:00 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 03 received a call from the Edmonson County Sheriff's Office about a possible death at the Dog Creek Recreation area. 

Troopers responded to the scene and located an unconscious female, later identified as Edith Vaughn, 38, of Cub Run, lying in a green tent. The Hart County Coroner responded and pronounced Ms. Vaughn dead at the scene. 

The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Trooper Devon Banaszak.
