Kentucky Farm Bureau Centennial Proclamation

On Tuesday evening, Mayor Billy J. Phelps – City of Morgantown KY, and Judge Executive Tim Flener – Butler County KY, joined Farm Bureau President Shane Wells to proclaim 2019 Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Centennial Year.

 Whereas, for one hundred years, Kentucky Farm Bureau has served as the “Voice of Kentucky Agriculture.” Representing the interests of agricultural producers and rural communities.

 Whereas, Kentucky Farm Bureau, a voluntary organization of farm families and their allies is dedicated to serving as that voice by identifying problems, developing solutions and taking actions which will improve net farm income, achieve better economic opportunities and enhance the quality of life for all.

 

 

Whereas, Kentucky Farm Bureau has established a reputation as an effective advocate for its nearly half a million members with member service programs that are well-respected and highly successful.

 Whereas, Kentucky Farm Bureau has a presence in all 120 counties, firmly establishing it as a true grassroots organization.

 Whereas, the organization was founded in Louisville, in November, 1919 and has grown to be one of the largest Farm Bureaus in the nation.
