Sam Moore, Chairman of the Board of Morgantown Bank and Trust, announced the Board’s approval of the promotion of Jason T. Jones to President.

Jason T. Jones currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the bank. Jason has been with Morgantown Bank and Trust since 2009. 

Jason is a 1995 graduate of Butler County High School and a 2004 graduate of Mid-Continent University with a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational communication. Additionally, he has completed the Kentucky Bankers School of Lending Principles, the ABA’s National Commercial Lending School and Executive Education courses at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management. He was also a member of the inaugural class of the KBA Emerging Leaders program. 

Jason is actively involved in the community and has previously served as a Board Member of the local United Way, Past President of the Butler County Little League, Past President of BCHS Baseball Booster Club and as a member of the Morgantown Elementary School and Butler County Middle School Site Base Council. He currently serves on the Butler County Industrial Development Authority. Jason brings with him a passion for our community, hometown banking and twenty plus years of banking experience working in Butler, Ohio and Warren County. 

Tom Jones, Morgantown Bank and Trust’s President, will continue as CEO of Morgantown Deposit Bancorp and Senior Business Development Officer of the bank. He will also continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors. 

The remainder of the year will be utilized as a transition period with Jason assuming fullduties effective January 1, 2023.
