The first event of the 34th Annual Green River Catfish Festival was the Green River 5 Mile Road Race from Morgantown to Woodbury on Saturday, June 21st.  This year there were 7 walkers and 67 runners. 

Butler Countian Nolan Johnson was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 32:06.  Belle Thomas of Bowling Green was the first female to finish with a time of 33:15. 

Ashley Vaughn was the first Butler County female to finish the race in 36:39.

The 2014 Road Race was sponsored by: Morgantown Bank & Trust, Whittinghill Rentals and Construction, Final Finish, and State Representative C.B. Embry Jr.
