Jenkins, Neighbors, and Pierson Compete at State X-Country

Members of the Butler County Cross-Country team competed in the 2011 KHSAA Cross Country State Championship Meet on November 12, 2011. The event took place in Lexington at the Kentucky Horse Park. Olivia Neighbors, 8th grader at BCMS, improved 25 positions and cut off 37 seconds from last years performance to finish 57th overall with a time of 22:12. Maranda Pierson, had a great first showing at the state meet finishing 85th overall with a time of 23:02.

Ethan Jenkins, sophomore at BCHS, improved 28 positions from last year and cut off 25 seconds for a finish of 107th overall with a time of 19:02.

Each race boasted 210-250 of the best runners in the state. Congrats to these runners on their performance and on a successful season!
