JEEP POKER RUN

On Saturday, October 26, the Morgantown KY Jeepers held a benefit poker ride for Kylee Fowler's family.  Kylee is the daughter of Casey and Susan Fowler.  She was born fourteen weeks premature on July 14 and was released last week after a 13-week stay at Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Forty Jeeps, including members of Bowling Green Jeep Owner's Club and Owensboro Offroad Jeepers, participated in the benefit ride that covered over 60 miles of Butler County roads. The ride began at the city park, went through Provo Road and Rochester, and made their first stop at Baker's General Store. From there, they went to Vanburen's Market for the next draw. After driving through Bryant Ridge Road, Grancer Road, Brooklyn Chapel Road, and Brooklyn Road, the Jeeps headed back to the park where several door prizes and awards were given.

Ethan Hunt, a 6th grader from Russellville, won a trophy for the worst poker hand, and Melinie Richards, from Butler County, won a trophy for the best hand. Tom Septer, a veteran from Henderson, won Best in Show, which was judged by some of Butler County's elected officials.  The Butler County Rescue Squad sold breakfast and lunch.

Those interested in Morgantown KY Jeepers' activities may contact Jody Henderson or find the group on Facebook.
