My name is Jason Gaskey, and I’m a candidate for Morgantown City Council. I’ve lived in Morgantown my entire life.
I graduated from Butler County High School in 1988 and then Western Kentucky University in 1996 with a Degree in Behavior and Social Sciences. I’ve been employed with the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice for almost 19 years. I started my career at Green River Youth Development Center as a Juvenile Counselor and currently work in Warren County as a Juvenile Probation Officer/Social Worker. In 2011, I was the Departments Community Services Employee of the Year. I have been a volunteer with the Butler County Little League and the Butler County Junior Pro Programs in the past.
I’m the son of Roger and Donna Belcher Gaskey and the grandson of the late Raymond and Roise Johnson Gaskey and the late Howard Belcher and Wilma Dye Yokley. My great-grandparents were the late Dave and Ethel Kirby Gaskey and Shelby and Lota Pearl Hines Dye. I have one brother Dustin Gaskey.
