Jake Hampton Memorial Cook nets over $1700 for Boys & Girls Club

Friends of the late Jake Hampton held a Memorial Cook in Owensboro on Saturday, February 22nd. Billy’s Badass BBQ & Friends presented a $1,775.50 check to the Butler County Boys and Girls Club in Jake’s honor on Friday, February 28th.

“Our racing family near and far is a tight knit group. It shows with the amount of posts and outpouring of support the impact Jake Hampton made on everyone in our area,” said Billy Egeler.

Billy’s Badass BBQ and friends in conjunction with 3rd Chance Auto Sales, Thrifty Nickel of Owensboro, Willy’s Carb and Dyno Shop, O’Bryan Implement Sales, Sandy and Lee Colyer, Steve Tong’s Home Improvement and Hudson ‘s Body Shop hosted the benefit cook.

“On behalf of everyone that was involved, it was truly an honor to be able to do the Memorial Cook for Jake and to donate the proceeds to the Boys & Girls Club. We all know Jake would be proud,” added Egeler.
