Ice Cream Sunday at Monticello

Sunday night June 30, approximately 40-50 people gathered at Monticello Baptist Church for ice cream, fellowship and games.  The impending rain didn’t dampen spirits.  There were many choices of ice cream, from standard chocolate and vanilla to banana pudding and butter pecan.

Before eating, we said the Pledge to the United States and Christian flags. Along with the many types of homemade ice cream that was brought,, there were cookies, brownies and many more pastries.  We have coffee and donuts every fifth Sunday, and there were a few remaining.  So, we had a donut or two as well.  There were several gathered outside playing corn-hole, as the rain had stopped enough to have a game or two.

By all accounts, those who attended had a great time in the Lord.
