Hunt named Academic All-Mid-South Conference

COLUMBIA - Butler County High School graduate Kaleb Hunt continues to excel in the classroom while competing on the gridiron. A sophomore defensive lineman for the Kentucky Christian University football team, Hunt has been named Academic All-Mid-South Conference. 
A total of 222 Mid-South Conference football student-athletes earned Academic All MSC honors, conference officials announced on Wednesday, Nov. 14.  In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
Cumberlands led all institutions with 26 student-athletes earning Academic All-Mid-South Conference honors. Reinhardt (Ga.) had the second-most with 25; while Cumberland (Tenn.) had 21 student-athletes earn the award.

Kentucky Christian concluded its 2018 season 2-9. The Knights are expected to be much-improved in the 2019 season.
