Hunt, Litten tapped to play in national football competition
Two local middle school football players were selected to participate in the 2012 FBU National Football Tournament. This is the single biggest event in youth football period. 64 teams throughout the United States and Canda representing their state/province, battling in a single elimination tournament to see who is the National Champion. Playing on a national stage on 'The Road to The Dome”(finals played in San Antonio's Alamadome the weekend of the U.S. Army All -American Bowl) to become the real National Champion.
Kaleb Hunt of Butler County Middle School and Ryder Litten of South Warren Middle School were chosen to play on Team Kentucky. This team consists of 8th graders throughout the entire state, which were individually selected by the FBU.
First round was held in Elizabethtown,KY. Team KY played Team TN, with Team KY winning 46-0. The next game Team KY beat Team Louisville 28-21. Now, with 16 teams remaining, Team KY heads to Atlanta, GA this weekend. The final goal is to reach San Antonio, TX(The Dome) in January for the national title.
Kaleb is the son of Bryan and Kristie Hunt. Ryder is the son of Jeff and Karla Litten.
