He is currently ranked number one in the Kentucky Elder Men's Division and ranked fifth in the world. He pitches in the 30ft. Elder Men's division with a 78.82%. Bob belongs to the Edmonson County Horseshoe Pitcher's Association.
Facts about Bob:

Pitching Style -Single Flip, Right-Handed, Steps off of the left foot.Shoe Of Choice - Snyder E-Z Flip 2.9

How often do you practice? Everyday, if weather permits, in 100 shoe sessions.
What year did you join the KHPA? 1984.
How did you get started in horseshoes? My brother Huck got me started just knocking around on weekends and then I got hooked.
What do you enjoy most about the sport of horseshoes? When me and my opponent both get in that zone and it goes down to the last shoe. That's pitching and jamming! Just hanging out with other pitchers.
What is your biggest pet peeve while pitching?People that just distract on purpose. Stakes that are loose drive me crazy, not enough clay in the boxes, clay that is too dry, and not enough incline in the stakes. It should be three inches.
What are your goals to achieve in horseshoe pitching? To average 70%, win the state and show better sportsmanship. I knocked on the door at 40' but couldn't kick it down.

Bob won the State Doubles in 1987 and 1988 with Ronnie Powell and again in 2002 with Robert Taylor.
