HS VOLLEYBALL: Butler County falls to Foundation Christian Academy

BOWLING GREEN — Butler County came up short as Foundation Christian Academy held on to win 2-1 in a high school volleyball match on Thursday, Oct. 13.

The match served as a regular season finale for the Bears. 

Butler County started strong but faltered. Foundation Christian Academy overcame a slow start to beat Butler County 25-27, 25-14, 25-8.

Sara Spalding (1 dig, 2 service aces), Emma Jones (4 kills, 1 block, 1 service ace), Annie Stewart (12 assists, 1 dig, 7 service aces), Elliana Bastin (6 kills, 1 block, 1 assist, 3 digs, 5 service aces), Natalee Baker (6 digs), Kennedy Vogler (3 kills), Addyson Toms (2 digs) and Josilyn Slavey (4 kills, 3 digs, 3 service aces) each produced for Foundation Christian Academy.  

Lily Glass (1 kill, 1 block, 5 service aces), Haley Merideth (1 kill, 13 assists, 1 service ace), Sammie Johnson (7 digs, 2 service aces), Maelyn Bilicki (3 kills), Carley Jones (1 kill, 7 assists) and Alyssa Thacker (2 kills, 5 digs, 2 service aces) each contributed for Butler County in the match. 

 

Butler County is scheduled to meet Whitesville Trinity in the semifinals of the 12th District Volleyball Tournament at Grayson County High School at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17.
