HS SOCCER: Lady Bears outlast Breckinridge County in overtime, 6-5

HARDINSBURG — Claiming its second straight win, Butler County outlasted Breckinridge County 6-5 in overtime in an 11th District girls' soccer match on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Yesenia Diaz scored three goals to lead Butler County to the win.

Following Diaz in scoring for Butler County, Loree Davidson netted two goals.

Aiding Butler County's offensive effort, Betsi Alacron added one goal.

In addition to finding the net twice, Davidson dished out one assist for the Lady Bears.

Defensively for Butler County, goalkeeper Karlie Whittinghill recorded three saves.

Butler County 12, McLean County 2: Butler County pulled away to beat visiting McLean County 12-2 in a non-district girls' soccer match on Thursday, Sept. 7.

Yesenia Diaz scored five goals and dealt out one assist to lead Butler County to the win.

Following Diaz in scoring for Butler County, Bailey Moore netted three goals.

Additional offensive contributors for Butler County in the convincing victory included Loree Davidson (two goals, one assist), Allison Johnson (one goal, two assists) and Addison Miller (one goal, two assists).

Defensively for Butler County, Karlie Whittinghill and Courtnei Alexander split time at goalkeeper, delivering one assist apiece.
