Butler County ranked 10th in AP Class 2A Poll
 
MORGANTOWN — Butler County is among the state's Top 10 Class 2A high school football teams.
The Bears are ranked 10th in the Kentucky Associated Press Class 2A Poll, which was released on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
Unbeaten, Butler County is off to a 4-0 start in the 2022 high school football season. The Bears have posted wins over Russellville, Edmonson County, Breckinridge County and Grayson County.
Butler County is ranked behind Somerset (9), Murray (8), Breathitt County (7), Metcalfe County (6), Danville (5), Owensboro Catholic (4), Lexington Christian (3), Mayfield (2) and reigning back-to-back Class 2A champion Beechwood (1). 
The Bears have the week of Friday, Sept. 16 open. Butler County has regular season games remaining versus McLean County, Hancock County, Owensboro Catholic, Todd County Central, Clinton County and Ohio County.
