HS FOOTBALL: Bears to host Clinton County

MORGANTOWN — After topping Todd County Central in overtime on the road, Butler County is set to host Clinton County Friday, Oct. 21.

The Bears will host the Bulldogs for a non-district game.

Butler County is 6-2. The Bears have claimed wins over Russellville, Edmonson County, Breckinridge County, Grayson County, McLean County and Todd County Central. Butler County has dropped games to Hancock County and Owensboro Catholic. 

The Bears have outscored opponents 216-128. Thriving on the ground, Butler County is averaging 233.8 rushing yards per game. 

Clinton County is 0-8. The Bulldogs have suffered losses to Wayne County, Clay County (Tenn.), McCreary Central, Adair County, Metcalfe County, Green County, Edmonson County and Monroe County. 

Opponents have outscored the Bulldogs 378-58. Offensively, Clinton County has been limited throughout the 2022 high school football season. 

The Bears pulled away to beat Clinton County 63-24 during a matchup in 2021. 

Butler County is slated to entertain Clinton County for its home finale in the 2022 high school football season. 

 

Kickoff for the upcoming Butler County-Clinton County football game is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Morgantown. The game will be broadcast live on WLBQ 101.5 FM.
