HOSA on the Hill
On Friday, November 18th, 12 members of Butler County Area Technology Center HOSA participated in HOSA on the Hill, a regional competition hosted by Western Kentucky University. While there, students competed in a variety of categories in preparation for the State Conference in Louisville in March. Events included: Job Seeking Skills, CPR, Prepared Speaking, Medical Terminology, Nursing Assisting, Medical Math, and Nutrition. Students also participated in several leadership development activities including, "Dress for Success," and "Healthy Living." Congratulations to all who participated.

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a national career and technical student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division of ACTE. HOSA is composed of secondary and postsecondary students. It is headquartered in Flower Mound, Texas. HOSA is the largest student organization that prepares students to enter the health care field. Teresa Rogers is the advisor for the local chapter.
