Homecoming Royalty 2015: Gomez and Cardwell

Alfredo Gomez and Courtney Cardwell

The 2015 homecoming festivities were held on Friday, September 5, prior to the Butler County and Russellville kick off.  Alfredo Gomez was crowned king.  He is the son of Alfredo and Rebecca Gomez of the Northside.  Courtney Cardwell was crowned homecoming queen.  She is the daughter of Mike and Amy Cardwell of Morgantown.

Representing the freshman class:


Miss Hallie Sanders and Mr. Duane Daniels.  Hallie is the daughter of Chris and Amiee Sanders of Morgantown and Duane is the son or Duane and Tabetha Daniels of Morgantown.

Miss Kasidy Graham and Mr. Logan Binion.  Kasidy is the daughter of Steve Graham of Davis Crossroads and Lori Graham of Logansport.  Logan is the son of Call and Lee Anne Binion of Roundhill.

 Representing the sophomore class:


Miss Ellie Moore and Mr. Ernest Lee.  Ellie is the daughter of Michael and Michele Moore of Morgantown and Ernest is the son of Jeff and Lisa Lee of Morgantown.


Miss Amber Blunk and Mr. Jared Kurfiss.  Amber is the daughter of Ricky and Barbara Henderson of Morgantown and Jared is the son of Jeff and Jennifer Kurfiss of Morgantown.

Representing the junior class:


Miss Haley Hope and Mr. Kyle Householder.  Haley is the daughter of Brian and Angela Hope of Logansport and Kyle is the nephew of Robert and Annette Householder of Morgantown.


Miss Hayden Johnson and Mr. Blake Graham.  Hayden is the daughter of Jeff Johnson and Nick and Robin Coley all of Morgantown and Blake is the son of Steve Graham of Davis Crossroads and Lori Graham of Logansport.

Homecoming queen and king candidates:


Representing the Fellowship of Christian Athletes were Miss Callie Cardwell and Mr. Ian Embry.  Callie is the daughter of Donald and Tina Cardwell of Jetson and Ian is the son of Kenneth and Cindy Embry of Brooklyn. 


Representing the Pep Club were Miss Emily Wallace and Mr. Jaocb Hixenbaugh.  Emily is the daughter of Greg and Penny Wallace of Morgantown and Jacob is the son of Eric and Ada Hixenbaugh of the Northside.


Representing the Art Club were Miss Carelissa Young and Mr. Dustin Anderson.  Carelissa is the daughter of Carry and Brenda Young of Morgantown and Dustin is the son of Amanda Anderson of Morgantown.


Representing BETA were Miss Hanna Gruber and Mr. Ivan Beasley.  Hanna is the daughter of Michael and Lynn Gruber of Morgantown and Ivan is the son of Jimmy and Rebecca Beasley of Neafus.


Representing the Future Business Leaders of America were Miss Harlie Deweese and Mr. Nolan Johnson.  Harlie is the daughter of Ray and Gina Deweese of Bowling Green and Nolan is the son of Dan and Michaelle Johnson of Morgantown.


Representing the Family Career Community Leaders of America were Miss Haley Ford and Mr. Isaiah Arnold.  Haley is the daughter of Jeremy and Brandy Ford of Rochester and Isaiah is the son of Jimmy and Angie Arnold of the Northside.


Representing the Future Farmers of America were Miss Whitney Phelps and Mr. Collin Coots.  Whitney is the daughter of Randy and Tammy Phelps of Bowling Green and Timmy and Kim West of Morgantown and Collin is the son of Vic and Joann Coots of Aberdeen.


Representing the Spanish Club were Miss Erica Daugherty and Mr. Jacob Beasley.  Erica is the daughter of David Karen Daugherty of Dunbar and Jacob is the son of Randy and Donnittia Beasley of Morgantown.


Representing the Technology Students of America were Miss Emily Coy and Mr. Jonathan McGranahan.  Emily is the daughter of Scotty and Marie Coy of Aberdeen and Jonathan is the son of Charles and Lupe McGranahan of the Northside.


Representing the Health Occupation Students of America were Miss Cara Skipworth and Mr. Alfredo Gomez.  Cara is the daughter of Frankie and Misty Skipworth of Morgantown and Alfredo is the son of Alfredo and Rebecca Gomez of the Northside.


Representing the Science Club were Miss Annabelle Cooper and Mr. Riley Slaughter.  Annabelle is the daughter of Alan Cooper and Suzanne Renfrow of Morgantown and Riley is the son of Wes and Gloria Slaughter of the Northside.


Representing the Students United to Support the Arts were Miss Kimberlea Ferrell and Mr. Jared Corona.  Kimberlea is the daughter of Brian and Teresa Ferrel of Morgantown and Jarred is the son of Richard Dale Corona of Morgantown and Laura Sears of Morgantown.


Representing the Gamers Club were Miss Emily Mullins and Mr. Matthew Johnson.  Emily is the daughter of Stephen and Jody Mullins of Morgantown and the late Tammy Rhoades Mullins.  Matthew is the son of Eli C. Johnson Sr. of Morgantown and Nicole Lynn White of Nevada.


Representing the Senior Class were Miss Courtney Cardwell and Mr. Jason Henderson.  Courtney is the daughter of Mike and Amy Cardwell of Morgantown and Jason is the son of Julie Steele and Chris Henderson of Morgantown.


The crown bearer and escort were Erica Alyce and Kypton Gage McKinney.  They are the twin children of Eric and Alicia McKinney of Morgantown.  They are the grandchildren of Philip Belies of Bowling Green, Lori Belies of Bowling Green, and Roger and Rita McKinney of Morgantown.  They are five years old and Mrs. Cassie Gardner’s students at Morgantown Elementary.


The 2014 homecoming queen and king returned to do the crowning honors.  Miss Hannah Renfrow is the daughter of Bill and Ketrina Myers of Marion and Ben and Amber Renfrow of Morgantown.  Hannah will be attending Murray State University in January majoring in pre dental.  Mr. Coner Reed is the son of Ken and Jolynn Reed of Morgantown.  He is a freshman at Kentucky Wesleyan University majoring in Nursing and religion.
