Heritage Animal Hospital Under New Ownership
Heritage Animal Hospital opened its doors in 1984 under the watchful eye of Dr. Van Cohron. They have been providing skilled veterinary care in the Butler County area ever since. Now, that tradition continues under new ownership. Dr. Steve Hampton has purchased the practice. Hampton, who sold his veterinary practice in Tennessee to return to Butler County to raise his family, starting working part- time at Heritage Animal Hospital in 2008; part- time soon turned into a full time job.
“Dr. Cohron was looking to sell the practice and do a little farming, so the time was right to purchase the practice,” said Hampton.
Hampton was quick to praise Dr. Cohron for his many years of service to the people of Butler County. “After a couple of months off, Dr. Cohron will assist us as needed,” said Hampton.
Heritage Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital offering medical, surgical, dental, and preventative care for pets. They provide a range of veterinary services for both small and large animals. Heritage Animal Hospital also offers grooming services and boarding accommodations for their customers. At Heritage, there are two veterinarians on staff, Dr. Hampton and Dr. Joy Wells, several vet technicians, veterinary assistants, and office staff to provide pet owners' excellent care.
“Our staff members are all pet owners themselves and understand the care and compassion that pet owners are looking for in an animal hospital,” said Hampton.
Dr. Hampton announced new office hours to better serve their customers: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8-5, and Thursday 7-7pm.
“Our goal is to provide the best and friendliest service possible to our customers,” said Hampton.
Dr. Hampton, along with his wife and five children, live in the Logansport community. He is the son of Bill and Kay Hampton.
