Henderson surpasses 1,000 passing yards

MORGANTOWN - Butler County senior quarterback Jagger Henderson has surpassed 1,000 passing yards in the 2021 high school football season.

Henderson completed 16 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns in Butler County's 63-24 win over Clinton County on Friday, Oct. 22 to surpass 1,000 yards. In nine games, Henderson has completed 99 of 178 passes for 1,212 yards and 13 touchdowns. 

Leading Butler County through the air and on the ground, Henderson has rushed 91 times for 497 yards and eight touchdowns.

Solomon Flener leads the Bears in receiving. Flener has reeled in 37 receptions for 488 yards and six touchdowns.

Following Flener in receiving for the Bears, Keagen Grubb has hauled in 15 receptions for 209 yards and two touchdowns. 

Butler County is thriving with a balanced offensive attack. The Bears have rushed 262 times for 1,253 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Ranking as Butler County's second-leading rusher, Colton Dunnells has rushed 109 times for 463 yards and eight touchdowns. 

Defensively for Butler County, Landon Binion has registered a team-high 82 tackles.

Butler County has notched wins over Waggener, Breckinridge County, Grayson County, McLean County, and Clinton County in the 2021 high school football season. 

The Bears are scheduled to host Ohio County for a regular season finale on Friday, Oct. 29.
