Guthrie Announces Butler County Drug-Free Coalition Grant

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) today announced that the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) is awarding the Butler County Drug-Free Coalition a $125,000 grant to help prevent youth substance use.

This grant is awarded from the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program, which aims to reduce youth substance use by empowering community coalitions with resources through grants.

“The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to take a toll on the mental health of Americans and worsen substance use disorder crises,” said Guthrie. “Sadly, the youth in our communities also face the negative impact of the pandemic, especially with changes in schooling. I thank the Trump administration for providing this $125,000 grant to give Butler County additional resources and tools to help keep our youth from falling victim to substance use. I know the Butler County Drug-Free Coalition will keep up the good work in implementing local strategies to support our youth in the community.”
