Guilty plea in pregnant woman's death

A 2011 high-profile murder case in south-central Kentucky has finally resulted in a guilty verdict for Kathy Coy of Morgantown.

According to a story posted by the Kentucky News Network (KNN), Coy entered a guily plea earlier today in Warren Circuit Court. The exact plea was "guilty but mentally ill" to charges of killing an expectant mother and taking her baby.

In total, Coy plead guilt to three counts - murder, capital kidnapping, and kidnapping.  As part of the plea deal, she will receive life in prison without parole. Sentencing is set for March 1.

As reported in the KNN article, Stice's remains were found off a dirt road in Warren County near Bowling Green less than a day after she was seen leaving her house with Coy.  The baby boy survived the attack.
