Ever have days or times in your life where you feel like you are hanging on a tree limb, way up high, struggling to keep from falling and crashing to the hard ground below?  Sure you have. But the Christian knows God will ultimately keep you from total disaster. We may experience some difficult times, but we believe God will help us survive and go to Heaven.  That is trusting in God on that tree limb. 

       The Bible reminds us through countless scriptures that we must trust in the God who made us. We can have that confidence. Jeremiah 17:7-8 claims:  Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes….  That is confidence in God. 

       Isaiah 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”  He is here. He is helping and comforting, giving us courage. Do you believe this?  Our Father will protect and guide us through trials and hurts and victories. Just trust Him. 

        I have for a long time treasured the words of Hebrews 13:5-6:  Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For he Himself has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you. “. So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”  He will always be with us if we obey Him and trust Him. 

         This life is uncertain and dangerous and disappointing at times, but trust in the God who made you. Give Him your complete faith and obedience. Next time you are hanging by a limb, remember where your trust is found. Never take your eyes off Him.   In Him, Kenny
