Green Valley Vision

The Brutal Killing continues. The resolve and spirit of the people of Ukraine remain strong despite the overwhelming odds from the Russians. President Zalenski has proven to be a formidable and passionate leader as opposed to his counterpart Putin who will be remembered for his vicious and evil and meaningless attacks on a country who did not provoke. Who did not deserve such terrible treatment.

How about us?  Are we fighting Satan and sin as fiercely as the Ukrainians are fighting Russia?  Are we not backing down?  The Bible shows from Genesis to Revelation that we, as Christians, are engaged in warfare.  We are in constant battles. With God with us, how could we lose?  Romans 8:31.

1 st Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life to which you were also called and confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”  Looks like there is plenty for us to do if we want to go to Heaven. Dragging ourselves out of bed to actually attend worship service on Sunday morning and then Never thinking about God the rest of the week doesn’t sound like fighting the good fight. It sounds like sleeping through it, giving in, and being unprepared for Satan.

Ephesians 6:11-18 commands us to suit up for the battles before us because we are in a fight. If we don’t feel it, why not?  Ignoring sin will Not make it go away anymore than if the Ukrainians tried to ignore the advancing Russians. Wake up to what is logical, Biblical, and very Real!!  Satan wants us as Christians to lose our focus and be unprepared for the attacks against us that could render us destroyed and lost.

The church needs to be alert and vigilant. 1 Peter 5:8-9. Satan is our adversary and plans on ruining us. Don’t let him. Read the Book. Apply it to your life. Pray hard. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Spread the message. Engage others. Worship and be a part of Bible study, both Privately and Publicly.  Love the Lord. Fight the good Fight of Faith.  2 Timothy 4:7-8. Expect no less of yourselves because the Lord doesn’t either.  Look Satan in the eye, and Don’t Back Down!!

Now, suit up, and be serious about your Responsibilities as a Christian. In Him, Kenny
