Green Valley Vision

Look around. There is truly an opportunity wherever you look.  Things need to be done, and people need encouragement.  Jesus knew His purpose for coming to this Earth.   It was to serve God and man and  to die for God and man. In fact, He saw opportunities wherever He looked.

In John 4:34-35 we read, “Jesus said to them, ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to finish His work. Do you not say, There are still four months and then comes the harvest?  Behold I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are white already to harvest!’”  He is telling us not to wait but to pursue good things like reaching out to others right now.

As Peter preached to Cornelius and his family and friends about Jesus he tells how Jesus was anointed in Acts 10:38 and that He “went about doing good…”.   That was His focus. How about us?  Each day we should endeavor to lift up another person, do something good for God, and just be servants who want to please our Father.

Hebrews 10:24 admonishes us to “consider one another to provoke or stir up love and good works” as we come together in fellowship as verse 25 says to “exhort one another. “. How could we do this daily?  Lots of possibilities: Give someone a genuine compliment.  Pray for each other and our world.  Help someone to see God in you.  Lift up those who have fallen and  are discouraged. Hold open a door for a person who struggles to walk. Be nice in your daily journey for God.  As Jesus did good things so we should be just like Him.  Talk Jesus and thank God for His daily blessings.

Look around. The time is now to act and to speak for God and Jesus.  In Him, Kenny
