Green River Fun Float rescheduled for August 20th

Melanie Hunt, the chairperson of the Morgantown Trail Town Task Force, release the following announcement, "Due to recent rain events and local user report the Green River is running very high and very rough particularly at Woodbury. The Taskforce will be at the Green River Museum at 8 am tomorrow to greet anyone still wanting to take on the Green, but we are postponing the associated Door Prizes at Aberdeen until the 20th of August where we will attempt this gathering on the Green River again! We are leaving it up to each one of you to gage your experience, comfort, and skill level and will be at the museum to share the goals of the Taskforce and the Museum with you if you prefer not to float but want to come out."

Eight individuals did decide to make the trip down the Green River,  including Roger Givens in his replica WWI boat from the Woodbury Ramp and Chad Tyree from the Leonard Oak side. Several showed up at the Green River Museum but decided against the float due to high water and swift current.
