Green River Fun Float

The Morgantown Trail Town Task Force hosted their first Green River Fun Float this past Saturday, August 20. Nearly 20 Kayakers and Canoeists took to the river for the approximately 9 miles/ 2-hour float down the Green River from Woodbury to Aberdeen. Trail Town Task Force is interested in spreading the word about the Green River as a Butler County resource.

Butler County Emergency Management and the Butler County Rescue Squad were also on site to ensure the safety of all participants.
Door Prizes were available for all 17 floaters thanks to Drake's Farm Service with a Yeti ($40 value), Farm Boy Restaurant with a large fish dinner, Hillside Cafe And Steakhouse with a $25 gift card, Nat's Outdoor Sports Bowling Green with 2-$20 gift cards as well as cards for $10 off $50, Kuntry Kitchen with a Fish Dinner, BRADD with 5 orange tumblers, and Firehouse Pizza with 10 different free pizza/salad/sandwich combos worth well over $100 value. Donations were also made by Fred's Pharmacy with 5 cases of Water!
