Green River Chapter DAR present first C.A.R. Scholarship

Ethan Levi Johnson, a 2013 graduate of Butler County High School is the first recipient of the Green River Chapter NSDAR C.A.R. Scholarship.  Levi is enrolled at Western Kentucky University for the fall term.  He will receive the $1,000.00 Scholarship Award at the August 19th meeting of the Green River Chapter NSDAR.  
To qualify for the scholarship, a graduating senior must have been an active member of the Green River Society Children of the American for a period long enough to have rendered service in the local and state societies, a participant in the various and sundry activities of the club.
Levi is a member of the Green River Society Children of the American Revolution and served as President in 2010.   He also served as KSCAR state historian and as a state chairman several times.  He, along with 6 other members of the Green River CAR attended the NSCAR National conference in Washington, D.C., in 2009. 
Levi is the son of Calvin Johnson, and Rachel and Josh Givens.  His grandparents are Rayburn and Brenda Johnson, and Denzil and Christine Coleman.
