Green River Catfish Classic: 27 Tagged Fish Caught; winners to be announced July 4

Anglers braved tough weather conditions on Friday morning, June 26, as the Green River Catfish Classic got underway. By the end of the 3-day tournament on Sunday, a total of 27 tagged catfish were caught.
There are 141 tagged catfish totaling $44,000 in prize money. The $10,000 tagged catfish, sponsored by the Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce, is the top prize. Those fishing will also be competing for the largest overall catfish, a prize for the largest youth catch, and more. All tagged fish are a minimum of $100.
