GRCF Fishing 2019: No tagged fish? Not a problem as local anglers win products, prizes and gift cards with daily drawings from Gander Outdoors

Although eleven tagged catfish were caught in this year’s Green River Catfish Festival Fishing Tournament, many fishermen who didn’t catch a tagged fish are still snagging prizes, outdoor products and gift cards courtesy of Gander Outdoors.

On Saturday, Skylar Dockery won a $50 gift card from Gander Outdoors in the “goose egg” drawing.  Donald Renfrow took home a $150 gift card from Gander in the “entering the river” drawing and Jayden Jenkins and Brennan Miller each received $50 in products from Gander in the youth division.  Renfrow also won $100 from Embry & Watts and $100 from Gander for catching the largest catfish.  Jenkins and Scotty Simmons, won $75 and $50, respectively.  Brad Johnson was the winner of the drawing for a $250 gift card from Gander for those who purchased tickets at the store.  


 

On day two of the fishing tournament, Sunday, June 30, 79 fisherman registered in the “entering the river” drawing.  Winning the $150 Gander Outdoors Gift Card was  Donnie Mullen.  

 

There were14 entries in the $50 goose egg drawing and Billy Hurd was the lucky winner of a $50 gift card sponsored by Gander Outdoors.

 

In the largest catfish category, Bobby Johnson had the largest catch at 10.67 pounds and won $100 from Morgantown Utilities and $100 from Gander Outdoors.  Second place went to Jessica Cox with a 5.51 pound catfish.  She won $75 from Gander Outdoors.  Skylar Dockery finished in third place and won $50 from Gander Outdoors with a 4.82 pound catfish.  


 

In the youth category, Jayden Jenkins turned in 2.77 pound catfish and won $50 in products from Gander Outdoors.

On the last day of the 2019 GRCF Fishing Tournament, Monday, July 1, 69 people entered the river and the winner of the $150 gift card was Vincent Baize.  There were 33 entries in the goose egg of the day drawing for a $50 gift card sponsored by Gander Outdoors and the winner was Rebecca Cardwell.

 

Jayden Jenkins won $150 in products from Gander Outdoors with a 2.11 pound catfish in the youth division.  Brennan Miller won products from Gander for his 1.10 pound catfish.  Gander of Bowling Green store manager Chris Robbins was on hand to present the prizes.

The veteran winner from Monday was Dustin Coots.  He received $150 worth of products from Gander Outdoors with a catfish weighing 11.28 pounds.  

 

The largest catfish checked in on Monday was won by Bobby Johnson.  He caught a 12.32 pound catfish and will receive $100 sponsored by the Essentials Insurance Group, as well as $100 from Gander Outdoors.

 

The second largest catfish turned in for the day was caught by Dusint Coots at 11.28 pounds.  He received a $75 gift card from Gander Outdoors.

 

The third place winner of the largest cat fish of the day was Scottie Simmons, who checked in and 8.70 pound catfish.  He received $50 from Gander Outdoors.
