GRCF: County Fair Exhibit

For just the second time since 1971, the Green River Catfish Festival hosted a County Fair Exhibit. The exhibit was held in the Eva J. Hawes Community Center. Over 300 items were received and on display during the exhibit.

Event Coordinator Tracy Thornton said, "I am very pleased with the number of entries. We hope that this event continues to grow in the years to come."

Every youth received a ribbon for their efforts while adults entered only received a ribbon if they placed in the competition.

The exhibit, which was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the Butler County Extension Service, and the Butler County 4-H Council, encouraged participants to bring in any sort of homemade craft to display in the exhibit. Items on displayed included country hams, tie-dye shirts, photographs, coke can lamps, vegetables, plants, and quilts.

Stay connected to Beech Tree News for the results as they become available.
