Graves Gilbert Clinic announced today that contract negotiations with Anthem Insurance have come to a standstill. The Clinic has successfully negotiated contracts with all other major insurance companies and can’t understand why Anthem has refused to agree to fair terms, as well. Patients insured through Anthem are encouraged to contact their agents and human resources representatives to promote an agreement, as well.
Graves Gilbert Clinic said despite a longstanding relationship, Anthem and the Clinic simply have not been able to reach an agreement regarding the terms of their contract, which is scheduled to expire in December. However, the Clinic will continue to urge Anthem to do the
right thing and come to a reasonable compromise that will allow patients and their loved ones to continue to receive the high quality care they expect and deserve.
Graves Gilbert Clinic CEO Chris Thorn said that after months of negotiations, they had hoped the issue would have been resolved by now, but, he said, they’re not giving up yet. “Our community deserves and expects the highest care possible,” he said. “Graves Gilbert Clinic is committed to meeting those expectations. The question is, will Anthem join the other insurance companies and work with Graves Gilbert Clinic toward achieving this goal?”
