Good Agriculture Practices Training at Butler County Extension

GAP, or Good Agriculture Practices Training, is being offered at the Butler County Extension Office on Tuesday, November 20th at 9:00 a.m.  GAP training educates food producers about safe food production and handling procedures.  The program will last approximately 3 hours and there is no fee to participate.  Farms must be GAP certified to offer samples at farmer's markets of certified roadside stands.  Farms must also be GAP certified to sell to local school food service programs.  The GAP training is consistent across the state.  Farmers may participate wherever they choose.  This will be the only time GAP training is offered in Butler County until next summer.  Space is limited for this training so please RSVP to the Extension Office at 526-3767 by November 19th to reserve your spot in the class.

For more information, contact the Butler County Extension Office at 112 E GL Smith Street, Morgantown, or call 270-526-3767.

Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
