Golfer Wins Golf Cart for Hole In One at CA Tournament

Community Action of Southern Kentucky held its 6th annual Charity Golf Classic on Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Russellville, KY, where Johnny Wilson of Smiths Grove, KY shot a HOLE IN ONE on number 11 hole and received a golf cart from Saylor’s Golf Carts!

Katie Balance, one of the owners at Saylor’s Golf Carts said, “This is the first time we have ever given away a golf cart, since we have owned the business.  In the 32 years Saylor’s has been in operation, this is only the third time anyone has ever scored a hole in one on the correct hole to win the cart at a hole in one, sponsored by Saylor’s.”

First place teams won $300/team and were as follows: First flight Chester Bethel, Rick Brown, Blake Jones and Johnny Wilson; Second flight Josh Riordan, Keith Riordan, Phillip Riordan and Jeff Roten; Third flight Garry Robbins, Betty Robbins, Dennis Hinkle and Vilas Hinkle. Second place teams won $200/team and were as follows: First flight Mekalia Cardwell, Scotty Cardwell, Tony Cardwell and Erin Faulkner; Second flight Scott Berry, Nathan Gassaway, Brad Manship and Tim Tucker ; Third flight Dan Everly, Robert Besaw, Bill Merritt and Kirk Patrick. Mitchell Winfield, Closest to the Pin Winner, received $25. Straightest Drive winners were Don Butler and Vilas Hinkle, who also each received $25. The Team Longest Putt winners were Chester Bethel, Rick Brown, Blake Jones and Johnny Wilson, who received a team prize of $200 Gift Certificate.

Cheryl Allen, CEO of Community Action said,  “Congratulations to Mr. Wilson for his hole in one! A very special thank you goes to all of the golfers and the individuals and businesses, who provided sponsorships, door prizes, welcome bags or food/drink donations. We would also like to thank Rolling Hills Golf Course for their hospitality in hosting this event, which netted over $11,000 to provide services to improve life for children, seniors, individuals and families throughout the 10 counties.”
