GIRLS’ H.S. Soccer: Lady Bears fall to Meade County in district tournament

HARDINSBURG - Butler County was held scoreless as Meade County pulled away to win 10-0 in the 11th District Girls' Soccer Tournament Semifinals at Breckinridge County High School on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

With the loss, Butler County concluded the 2020 girls' high school soccer season 0-12.

Meade County improved to 6-7 and advanced to the 11th District Girls' Soccer Tournament title match with the win.

Hannah Heschhe netted two goals to lead Meade County to the victory. In addition to Heschke, Ally Hearn (one goal, three assists), Embry Keenan (one goal, one assist), Grace Mattingly (one goal, one assist), Madison Hebert (one goal), Lauren Witt (one goal), Isabella Burdick (one goal), Cyia Robertson (one goal), Cheyenne Stafford (one goal) and Mattie Clanton (two assists) contributed offensively for Meade County in the postseason win.

Defensively for Meade County, goalkeeper Emily Millay recorded two saves. Millay and Madison Hebert combined to record a shutout for the Lady Waves.

Goalkeeper Tobin Maxfield paced Butler County defensively, tallying 15 saves.
