Gibbs, Griffin win tournament on Lake Malone

LAKE MALONE — The duo of Avery Gibbs and Ty Griffin placed first in the Butler Country bass fishing program's tournament on Lake Malone Saturday, Oct. 22.

The anglers participating in the tournament faced tough fishing conditions throughout the event.

The tandem of Harlie Embry and Logan Hargrove placed second in the tournament.

A member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), Butler County competes in Region 1. In addition to Butler County, Region 1 includes Allen County-Scottsville, Apollo, Breckinridge County, Calloway County, Christian County, Dawson Springs, Edmonson County, Franklin-Simpson, Graves County, Grayson County, Greenwood, Hancock County, Henderson County, Hopkinsville, Livingston Central, Logan County, Marshall County, McCracken County, Meade County, Muhlenberg County, Ohio County, South Warren, Trigg County, Trinity (Whitesville), Union County and Warren East.
