On this year’s anniversary of our nation’s independence, members of the General Richard Butler Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution held a public drawing for a 500 dollar prepaid debit card as prize. Marley Kay Truelove of Hendersonville, Tennessee is the winner. July 4th was the birthday of her father, Jonathan, as well. 

Money collected from the donations for tickets will be used to further the causes of the chapter through projects voted for by its members. The local chapter was charter founded in Butler County in 2016.

The national charter requires an applicant to be a citizen of good repute in the community and is the lineal descendant of an ancestor who was at all times unfailing in loyalty to and rendered active service in the cause of American Independence.
