Friends of Butler Co. Animals ribbon cutting at Spay-Neuter Clinic
On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Friends of Butler County Animal Shelter with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new spay-neuter clinic.
The clinic, conveniently located at 412 Industrial Drive in Morgantown, is easily accessible for all.
The clinic staff has been bustling, serving over 26 counties in Kentucky, 13 counties in Indiana, four counties in Illinois, two counties in Tennessee, and two counties in Ohio.
Friends of Butler County Animals staff and manage their very own spay/neuter clinic, offering a range of services including spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping.
What does this mean for Butler County?
- Spay/neuter dates will be available more often to the public
- We will not have to transport to spay/neuter clinics out of county anymore and will save on gas and wear/tear for our shelter vans
- More spay and neuter means more lives saved
- Shelter animals will be spayed and neutered with utmost speed and efficiency, ensuring they are available for adoption much sooner.
- As always, we remain committed to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for ALL, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to responsible pet ownership.
"It was so heartwarming to see so many people come together to support the cause," said Jeanie Locke, FOBCA board member.
