Four Bears average double figures in scoring

MORGANTOWN — Four Butler County players averaged double figures in scoring during the 2021-22 boys' high school basketball season.

Brody Hunt led the Bears in scoring, averaging a team-high 14 points per game. Hunt scored a team-best 378 points in 27 games.

Behind Hunt as the second-leading scoring for Butler County, Jagger Henderson averaged 12.5 points per game.

Ranking third in scoring for the Bears, Lawson Rice averaged 12 points per game.

Accompanying three of his teammates in double figures for Butler County, Solomon Flener averaged 10.3 points per game.

Contributing to Butler County's offensive attack, Isaac Dockery averaged 6.7 points per game for the Bears. 

As a team, Butler County shot 45.9 percent from the field. The Bears shot 32.3 percent from three-point range.

Butler County shot 68.5 percent from the free throw line. 

Flener paced Butler County in rebounding, averaging 6.2 rebounds per game. Finishing directly behind Flener in the key category, Rice averaged 6.1 rebounds per game for the Bears. 

Butler County, under the direction of head coach Calvin Dockery, concluded the 2021-22 boys' high school basketball season 16-11. The Bears' latest season on the hardwood ended following a loss to rival Grayson County in the semifinals of the 12th District Boys' Basketball Tournament.
