F.O.B.C.A. Yard Sale

Fundraising isn't always easy, especially when trying to save and prepare for the holidays. So the shelter now has a new way to raise money for the fur babies year-round. Like a mission, community members can drop off unwanted items daily during business hours, but if you have a large load, the staff asks you to please call ahead of time so they can have someone help unload you. Currently, they accept clothing, toys, housewares, furniture, etc.

Right now, they are no longer accepting summer clothing but will be again in the spring.

The upkeep of all the unwanted pets in this community can be a daunting task. It can be expensive, from the food and cleaning supplies needed daily to the medications that some sick and ailing animals need. New, creative ways must be found to keep the facility running, and the yard sale building has proven to be a perfect avenue for funding, and all proceeds go to the F.O.B.C.A. (Friends of the Butler County Animal shelter). Keep an eye on the shelter's Facebook page for announcements about when the yard sale building is open for business.

If you are looking to declutter or go through your children's closets, remember the animal shelter! Remember the animal shelter if you are looking to furnish your home or want gently used clothing! The takeaway is to remember the shelter if you are looking to find some "treasures" or get rid of your stuff because, as the saying goes, "one man's trash is another man's treasure." However, in this situation, whether you are donating, or buying you are helping contribute to a good cause.
