Jennifer Odle, Justin Hudnall, and President Sherry Webster

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 5837 continue with their efforts to provide flags to our schools.

Wednesday, February 15th President Sherry Webster, Americanism Chairman and Scholarship Chairman traveled to the Butler County High School and presented Justin Hudnall with his certificate and money for participating in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Voice of Democracy scholarship essay. This is a written and oral essay for grades 9-12.  It is judged at four levels, local, district, state and then National. If an essay gets to National, the big scholarship is $30,000.00. When school starts in the fall the information for the 2017-18 VOD will be with the counselors.
