Fishing Tournament winners announced at GRCF Closing Ceremonies

The closing ceremonies of the 2022 Green River Catfish Festival were held on Monday, July 4th. Among those in attendance were twenty-three eager fishermen, hoping the tagged catfish they caught would be worth the top prize of $10,000. The Tackle the Green Fishing Tournament was held the previous weekend, June 24-26. There were 123 fish released, with a total prize potential of $50,800. Of the 123 tagged fish released, twenty-four fish were caught, with one lucky fisherman, Bob McKee, catching two tagged fish. Luckiest of all however, was Dillon Shepherd, winning $2500, sponsored by Chad’s Body Shop and Wrecker Service.

Butler County Chamber of Commerce officials were on hand to announce the winners which are listed below.
