Butler County Sheriff Scottie Ward presented a budget amendment reflecting his salary, which the state sets. He also presented a check to the court for $97,415.90. This amount reflects excess fees from taxes and a budget surplus.

The Emergency Management Director asked magistrates to approve allowing the rescue squad to use the 2012 Dodge pick-up truck to pull the rescue boat.

The court discussed purchasing or fixing a tantrum truck bed for the county road department. County Road Foreman Jonathan Deweese said they could fix the bed for around $1,500.

Judge Flener informed the court of the passing of their commercial building inspector. They will be interviewing potential inspectors.
