FISCAL COURT: Insurance, budget requests, county clerk's report
Butler County Fiscal Court met on Monday, April 27, at the courthouse. All magistrates were in attendance: Stevie Givens, Kevin Phelps, Allen Smith, David Whittinghill, and Dillon Bryant.
After approving the minutes, they moved to old business with the Ferry Flood Insurance. Gina Tynes presented options to the court. Since Butler County accepted FEMA funds (approximately $38,000) for repairs to the ferry houses and garage, FEMA now requires the county to obtain and maintain flood insurance on the structures or return the funds. Tynes gave the court quotes. The court approved the $801 quote for Reeds Ferry by a 4-1 vote, with Dillon Bryant voting nay. Magistrates tabled the insurance bid for Rochester Ferry.

Amanda White and Steve Winkler of the Butler County Boys and Girls Club requested $11,500 for the club in the new budget. The club has 126 active members. No action was taken.
The Butler County Conservation District requested $55,000 for the FY26-27 in compliance with House Bill 730 and KRS 262.200.
